Ever heard the expression ‘Out with the old, in with the new’? I am sure you have. In my opinion, that phrase describes perfectly the ever-changing world of search engine optimization (SEO). Increasing your MLM Lead Generation page popularity and improving your page ranking is the name of the game here and you’d better stay on top of it if you want results.
Since the beginning of SEO though, there were several techniques that always were and always be the search engine optimization center core. Today, we will focus on the most basic, yet the most important of them – the keyword.
There is no such thing as successful search engine optimization without getting the basics right. Keywords are the basics of the basics; so if you are dreaming of SEO MLM lead generation for your MLM home business, you need to pay close attention.
When you search for something online, you usually use the search box of a search engine where you type in what you are looking for – keywords, speaking SEO language. A keyword can be just one word or can consist of multiple words.
Let’s take a look at an example: keywords can be as simple as /MLM/ or they can contain many more than just one word, such as /MLM home-based business/. Since the second keyword is really a phrase, it is often referred to as a keyword phrase or a keyphrase. It is absolutely imperative that you start your SEO quest with researching and picking the right keywords and making these keywords a part of your website content.
Why are keywords so important? Well, you want your MLM leads to find you, don’t you? If you want Google visitors to see your site when searching for /the best MLM opportunity of a lifetime/, you’d better be ready with that keyphrase optimization on your pages.
Here is something to remember though: it’s a huge mistake to choose your keywords based solely on your content without knowing how competitive they are. Let me explain what I mean with an example.
If you are trying to optimize your work from home business website, choosing /work from home/ as your keyword would be a horrible idea! As I wrote this article, the number of searches for this keyword was at 309M! Quite a bit, don’t you think? Realistically speaking, what would be your chances of getting to the first page of those search results?
Before you start optimizing for a specific keyword, do your research! Searching Google for the keyword phrase /work at home ideas for moms/ reveals less than 23M results (which is still high, but you see where I am going with this). It will be 3364 times easier to get to the front page of those results, thus quickly increasing your MLM lead generation.
VERY IMPORTANT: it’s better to rank high for a lower-search volume keyword than low for a high-search volume keyword.
Let’s put theory into practice now: how do we find the right keywords to go for?
The simplest way and a good place to start is to go back to Google and use the search box to see how popular the keywords you came up with are. Again, the lower the number, the better. 300K is a good starting point.
